A classically trained singer, she has performed her unique versions of opera & modern pieces including songs by Bowie & The Pixies, at Bistrotheque, the South Bank (including with Natalie Clein), The Book Club, Eat Your Heart Out, The Last Tuesday Society’s Hallow’een Ball, and the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. She is also working with dancers Nando Messias & Masumi Tipsy Saito on a full length show, ‘Glass Harmonica’, about mental illness and its representations in Romantic art – three scenes from the piece were recently performed at Bistrotheque’s Underconstruction. As a DJ she’s guested at clubs such as Foreign, Decasia, & La Fleche D’Or (Paris) and works high profile fashion & PR events. Helen is known for the depth and breadth of her musical knowledge, which extends from cutting edge electro to opera via rock, pop, classical & showtunes. Her supervision work has included advising on runway tracks for a major French fashion house and providing music for an international hair show in Germany. She’s podcast for MyAWOL and writes regularly for music & style publications such as A and The Hospital Magazine.
Helen Noir also promotes & DJs at Film Noir, formerly at The Ghetto and Bar Music Hall and now at Dalston Superstore. Guests have included scene stars such as Severino, Rokk, Ben Pistor (Disco Bloodbath) Scottee & Molaroid, Philippos N (Hot Boy Dancing Spot), Jonty Skrufff, John Taylor (Punx Soundcheck), Ma Butcher, Trash Fashion, Miss King & The Kougars as well as the Film Noir team of Dickie Beau, Ingenue St John, A Man To Pet & Nando Messias.
